The Nairobi Hospital has confirmed Felix Osano as its new Chief Executive Officer, formally ending a leadership transition that began in December 2024 when former CEO James Nyamongo was sent on compulsory leave.

In a statement released on Friday and signed by board chairperson Bartley Onyambu, the board said Osano, who has been serving in an acting capacity since December 13, will now take over the role permanently.

"We are confident that Mr. Osano’s strategic vision, industry expertise, and commitment to operational excellence will steer The Nairobi Hospital into its next chapter of innovation and patient-centered care," the board said.

Osano previously served as Director of Supply Chain and brings more than 17 years of experience in private equity healthcare investments and senior roles in FMCG and healthcare.

He is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Management at USIU-Africa and holds an MBA in Global Business Management and a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

He also holds professional certifications in procurement and leadership.

The board expressed its full support for Osano and did not announce any new changes to the hospital’s leadership.

However, during a management shakeup in December 2024, several appointments were made.

Dr. Reuben Okioma was named Deputy Director of Medical Services & Research, while Margret Muiyoro was appointed Acting Director of Nursing Services.

Other appointments included Nicodemus Odongo as Director of Strategy & Innovation, Mohamed Doo Said as Director of Human Resources, and William Masita as Director of Finance.

Dr. Magdalyne Wambui Kamande now serves as Director of Transformation Services and ICT, Gilbert Nyamweya is the Company Secretary, and Dr. Margaret Sirima heads the College of Health Sciences.

Additional roles include Weldon Rotich in Internal Audit, Audrey Onsomu in Risk & Compliance, Antipas Nyambok in Operations, Major (Rtd) Guido Aido Leariwala in Security, and Trevour Adudah in Engineering.
